google tag manager code / connecting to GA with RankMath

    Hi there

    I recently pushed a staging site update of my site to live and just noticed that I can’t see any keywords in my GA Search Console. I checked RankMath and realised I hadn’t reconnected to Search Console or to Google Analytics. I have now done so. However, I also have code in my site hooks in the Customize section (I use MediaVine Trellis as my framework) for Google Tag Manager. Is this ok? Can I have this alongside having Google Analytics set up through RankMath?

    Hello,

    Thank you for contacting Rank Math support and bringing your concern to our attention.

    Yes, you can setup your Google tag manager code using a different plugin. Just ensure that the option “Install analytics code” is not enabled under Rank Math > General Settings > Analytics so Rank Math will not generate the same tracking code.

    Thank you, the problem I have now is that search queries are now showing as ‘not set’ in GA – Acquisition / search console / landing pages… will they take a day or two to reappear after reconnecting, or is there something else I need to do? Thanks.

    Hello,

    Thank you for sharing your website URL for us to check.

    Upon inspecting your website, the gtag is indeed been added already however, there’s a property where it returns an error as you can see in my screenshot below:

    gtm

    You may want to verify or fix that and see if this will resolve the issue you see on your GA/GSC.
