Hello,
Thank you for contacting Rank Math support, and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.
I am sorry to say, but we haven’t changed the way we generate the robots meta tag and we haven’t added any special filter to completely remove those tags as it is a core feature we offer in our plugin as mentioned by my colleague in the last ticket you created.
You may try to check this reply and see if this will help you create a “hack” to remove the meta tag.
Hope that helps. Looking forward to helping you.
Thanks for the quick update, Jeremy.
Unfortunately, we don’t want to go with a hacky way to handle it.
Robots meta tag supports plenty of Directives but currently with rank_math/frontend/robots filter, we can only unset “index” and “follow”.
I feel it will be handy if we can also control/unset all supported Directives like “all”, “noindex”, “nofollow”, “noarchive”, “nositelinkssearchbox”, “max-snippet:-1” and more
Hello,
At the moment the only way to achieve something like this would be with the “hack” we mentioned before.
If our stance on this changes, we’ll also inform you of the same.
Don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any other questions.
