    Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math for help with your website showing outdated sitemaps.

There may be caching on your website preventing the sitemaps from updating. To fix it, please follow these steps:
    1. Flush the Sitemap cache by following this video screencast:
    https://i.rankmath.com/pipRDp
    2. Exclude the Sitemap files of the Rank Math plugin in your caching plugin. The cache could be via a plugin or from the server. For plugins or Cloudflare, please follow this article:
    https://rankmath.com/kb/exclude-sitemaps-from-caching/

If you still want to disable a sitemap that you do not need, please go to your WordPress dashboard > Rank Math > Sitemaps > Post type ( Page, Portfolio ) and toggle off “Include In Sitemap”, then click “Save Changes”

Hope that helps. Please let us know if you have questions.

    Didn’t work.

I refreshed the cache and the cache on the site as well as disabled SG Optimizer plugin and it did not resolve the issue.

I also tried > Rank Math > Sitemaps > Post type ( Page, Portfolio ) and toggle off “Include In Sitemap”, then click “Save Changes” but then it just deleted the correct sitemap and kept the old, outdated sitemap.

I could just delete the plugin and start over but I don’t want to have to set everything up again and redue title tags and descriptions.

    Any other ideas?

    Hello,

Please add this filter to your website and see if that fixes the issue:

    add_filter( 'rank_math/sitemap/enable_caching', '__return_false');

Here is a guide you can follow to add the filter:
    https://rankmath.com/kb/wordpress-hooks-actions-filters/

Once done, flush the Sitemap cache by following this video screencast and check the sitemap:
    https://i.rankmath.com/pipRDp

    Hope this helps.

    Thank you.

I uses the snippets plugin and it didn’t work.

I double checked everything and refreshed cache everywhere I could and still nothing.

    Any ideas?

    Hello,

We might need to take a closer look at the settings.

Can you please share the URLs that you have deleted and are added in the sitemap?

Edit the first post on this ticket and include your WordPress & FTP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.

Please do take a complete backup of your website before sharing the information with us.
    Sensitive Data Section

It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/temporary-login-without-password/

You can use the above plugin in conjunction with the WP Security Audit Log to monitor what changes our staff might make on your website (if any):

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-security-audit-log/

We really look forward to helping you.

Hey I actually figured it out sorry for taking your time!

There were a bunch of projects on this site I was not aware of so there was a sitemap just for those and a sitemap for the pages.

    Thank you for helping.

    Hello,

We are super happy that you are able to resolve the issue.

If you have another question in the future, please feel free to create a new forum topic, and it will be our pleasure to assist you again.

    Thank you.
