Hello,
Thank you for contacting Rank Math for help with your sitemap not updating.
Please may you share your website URL so we can evaluate what may be the issue. You can add the link to the designated sensitive data area by editing the first post of this thread. It’s completely secure and only our support staff can see what is there.
You mentioned an article but did not include the link. We need to know what you have tried so far. Is this the article you followed https://rankmath.com/kb/fix-sitemap-issues/. If not, please try the advice given in it.
Please provide as much information as possible so we can help you solve the problem. You can include screenshot and screencast links using tools link imgbb.com or loom.com respectively.
Looking forward to helping you.
Hello,
I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?
Thank you.
Hi thanks for getting back to me.
The article I read and followed was this one – https://rankmath.com/kb/exclude-sitemaps-from-caching/
I also followed the advice on this support ticket – https://support.rankmath.com/ticket/new-added-post-not-showing-in-sitemap/
I don’t have any of the issues listed in the article you posted above.
Thanks for your help
Kind regards
Elisa
Hello,
I’ve checked your latest post, and indeed it is not getting included in your post sitemap.
Could you please confirm if you didn’t set a custom canonical URL upon editing the post? Here’s a link for more information:
https://rankmath.com/kb/url-not-in-sitemap/#custom-canonical-url
If not, then we might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WordPress & FTP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.
Please do take a complete backup of your website before sharing the information with us.

It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/temporary-login-without-password/
You can use the above plugin in conjunction with the WP Security Audit Log to monitor what changes our staff might make on your website (if any):
https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-security-audit-log/
We really look forward to helping you.
Thank you.
Hi,
It is a custom conical but I can’t find what would be the default conical (blog name) in the sitemap either?
I’ve added the log in details as requested above.
Kind regards
Elisa
Hi, just thought I’d add that all of my slugs are custom, but the post that isn’t showing in the sitemap is the only one I’ve added since installing RankMath.
Kind regards
Elisa
Hi,
I’ve fixed the issue. I did some more research on the canonical URL and realized I was confusing this with the permalink.
I’ve kept my updated permalink, removed the custom URL, cleared the sitemap cache and my website cache and I can now see the post appearing on my site map.
Thanks for your help. I’ll leave my custom URLs alone in future!
Best regards
Elisa
Hello,
