    Hey Team,
if I add Emojis like “📗” in Meta discription, it will not save my written text with the emojis. When I use only text, than it saves. Hope you can help me.

And I already tested with and without firewall same as health check, no plugins and standard theme. Same issue. As soon there is an Emoji inside the text, its not saving at all.

    Regards
    Markus

  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math and bringing your concern to our attention. I’m sorry for any inconvenience this issue may have caused you.

I’ve tried testing the emoji on our test site, but it is saving without any problem. Here’s a screencast for your reference: https://i.rankmath.com/AFqXqx

If adding the emojis directly on your site is not working then you can use the HTML version of the emojis in your title & description. Here is a tool that can help you convert emojis in HTML: https://www.online-toolz.com/tools/unicode-html-entities-convertor.php

    I hope that helps.

    Thank you.

    Dear Reinelle,
yes, that will work… do you have any idea what could be the reason? I did a fresh install of Chrome and deactivated all extensions I have a.s.o.
But as soon I delete a word or add a word (when an emoji is in the snipped) it will not save my changes.

Its a bit frustrating, cause when I would like to make some simple changes or so, I need always the link of the website you’ve forwarded to me and have to do this additional step.

    Best regards from germany

    Hello,

I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?

    Hello,

I was able to replicate the issue on your site but when I tested adding emoji in a local installation, it is saving the emoji without any problem.

It would seem like your database doesn’t support adding the emojis.

Please talk to your web hosting provider. They might be able to fix this issue with your DB.

Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.

    Dear Jeremy,

I created a new database and WP/Divi installation on a sub domain.
And its working now. I have installed same plugins as before and its still working. I have no idea through which action or installation in the past the fault with the emojis has happened.

You can close the Ticket and thank you!
