Since the latest update I am unable to edit pages in Elementor while Rankmath plugin is active. When I select a page and click ‘Edit With Elementor’ the page remains blank and I get the option to open in safe mode at the bottom of the page. When I deactivate the plugin I can edit the pages. Can you please help me resolve this issue? Many Thanks, Catherine

Assuming you are using the latest version of all the plugins and the themes (please update if not yet), it would seem like a conflict with one of the plugins or the theme you are using.
To determine that, please follow this troubleshooting guide:

Only the site admin would know and your users won’t be affected by this troubleshooting.
If the issue persists, please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WordPress login in the designated Sensitive Data section.

Thank you for the fast response Jeremy. I have followed this instructions on the video and when I use the troubleshooting mode and have Elementor and ELememtor Proc activated I find I am able to edit the page as per usual. So I assume this means there is an issue with Rankmath and Hello Theme. Can you please tell me if/how this can be resolved? Thanks so much.

I tried accessing the siteground dashboard and it asks me to authenticate again since I am in a different location. Can you please verify?
To initially troubleshoot the issue, please take a backup of your
.htaccess
file and replace it with the default WordPress.htaccess
file. You can get the file here: https://wordpress.org/support/article/htaccess/You can follow this guide to edit the

https://rankmath.com/kb/edit-htaccess/If the issue persists, please try re-installing the Rank Math plugin. This won’t delete all your data.

I have tried to follow the instructions to edit .htaccess but when I goto Elementor and goto Rankmath>General Settings>Edit .htaccess the message I get is a red line followed by .htaccess file is not writable. Then in grey below that it says

I checked and figured out that the issue is being caused by the Helpie FAQ plugin. If you disable the Helpie FAQ plugin, the Elementor editor works fine with Rank Math. Please get in touch with the support of Helpie FAQ and ask them to look into the issue.

I deactivated and deleted the Helpie FAQ plugin, but the issue still persists. When I open a page to edit I cannot do so and it asks me to enable safe mode. Sorry! That wasn’t the solution. 🙁

There is a conflict between the WP Social Ninja plugin and Rank Math. When WP Social Ninja is deactivated, the rest of your website continues functioning as normal.
Please check the WP Social Ninja plugin for settings that might conflict with Rank Math.

Thank you. I reverted back to an older version (10/8) and updated the plugins one at a time, including today’s Elementor plugin update. This latest Elementor plugin update remedied the formatting issues and the live website looks as it should. However I am still unable to edit the pages unless a specific plugin is deactivated.
If I deactivate the following (one plugin at a time) the following happens:
– Elementor Pro deactivated and all other plugins active – I can open a page in edit mode, but cannot see all features, presumedly because they are features of the upgraded version eg the pro template form on the Contact page.
– Rankmath deactivated and all other plugins active – I can open the page in edit mode, but when I click on the pro contact form template the area on the left is grey and I cannot edit the template.
– WP Social Ninja deactivated and all other plugins active- I can open the page in edit mode and I can edit the pro contact form template as usual.If I deactivate any other plugins I am unable to open a page in edit mode.
I have run a plugin compatibility checker and found the following are incompatible with WordPress:
– Elementor Pro
– Essential Add-Ons for Elementor Pro
– Rankmath
– see other unrelated pluginsWP Social Ninja is compatible. I hope this helps and someone is able to assist. I will provide this Information to Elemetor and WP Social Ninja. At this point WP Social Ninja has not been able to fins a solution and they do not think it is their issue.
Elementor have passed this issue to their Tier 2 technician. I will let you know what they find. Thanks for your understanding. Catherine
