Add NewsArticle Schema

    Hey, I am using rankmath and my articles are showing the ‘Article’ schema but now I want to change it to the ‘NewsArticle’ schema. Can you please tell me how can I do it?

    Thank you for contacting Rank Math and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

    That option is only available in the PRO version of the plugin to get the articles to show inside the News Sitemap: https://rankmath.com/kb/news-sitemap/

    Hello,

    Sorry for the confusion.

    To get the NewsArticle Schema, you can edit the Article Schema on the page and set the Article Type to News Article.

    I did this but the schema is still showing Article instead of NewsArticle. I am doing this because I want my website to reach in Google Discover feature

    Please note that the changes would only appear when you’ll check the source of the page from the front end and in the backend, it would still say Article as the NewsArticle Schema is a type of Article Schema.

    However, if it is not updating even in the source, please share the affected URL so that we can have a closer look.
