    Hi there

I recently updated my domain to a new url.

This was over 2 months ago, but when i search in google the SEO wording that is showing is different to that on my home page.

Just wondering where i update this for the main website, I edited the details that i found on the homepage, but its seems to be showing differently on google.

Where do i edit the SEO for website, not the actual home page?

    Thanks so much

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting the support and we regret the inconvenience caused.

Could you please confirm if you’re referring to the SEO title/description of the homepage or its URL on the search results?

Please also share the URL of your homepage so that we can have a closer look.

If you’re referring to the SEO title/description, title/description not matching is pretty common with Google these days. Happening with 70% of the results that even if everything’s fine, Google can choose to show a different meta title/description for your search keyword.

Please refer to this guide for more details:
    https://rankmath.com/kb/different-meta-title-and-description/

Recently Google made some changes to their algorithm that automatically changes the titles, discarding the one you have set in your SEO title. This happens regardless of the SEO plugin you are using. We have covered this update here: https://rankmath.com/google-update/google-title-rewrite-update/

The best approach here is further optimizing the title and the desired keyword on your website to better match the user’s search intent, and hopefully, Google would use it in the future.

Looking forward to hearing back from you.

    Thank you.

    Hi Prabhat

I am refering to the homepage: https://www.yourdesignertemplates.com/
When you search for the keyword ‘your designer templates’ in google my website does not show up?

When I do find it by using keyword Louise Lazendic, the description is different to what i have on the back end of my website?

    Thanks so much

    Hello,

Our plugin is adding the correct metadata to your homepage. You can confirm that by using a tool like HeyMeta: https://www.heymeta.com/url/www.yourdesignertemplates.com/

However, Google can decide to show a different title and description based on the search term. Since the keyword is your name, Google is showing the details related to that.

Hope this helps. Let us know if you need any other assistance.
