    Hello,

    I use SiteOrigin editor. Hence, as internal linking is not possible with the Link suggestions, I have to stop it. However, I find that the online website SEO checker like sitechecker.pro is showing that there is something like 25 internal links, which is incorrect as manually added internal links are only about six so far.

    Therefore, my question is, how do I correct this error and get the actual number of internal links to show up after unchecking the pillar post pages? What is the process to follow, so that everything goes smoothly?

    Thank you for contacting the support.

    Firstly, as you might already know, setting/removing a page as Pillar Content would not automatically add/remove internal links to/from the website or make any changes on the front end. It only shows the link suggestions in the backend that you may/may not add to the content.

    So, the issue you’re having is not related to Pillar Content. Maybe you’ve added internal links using the Link Suggesions/Pillar Content feature in the past, but those are manually added links, and once added, they’re simply internal links that you could have added even without the Pillar Content feature.

    Now coming to the issue, if you’ve only added 6 internal links, we suggest you reach out to the support of sitechecker.pro as they would be in a better position to assist you and give details about where they’re picking the rest of the links.
