Does “Index” index all category pages & archive pages too?

Does setting the “Category Archives Robots Meta” to “Index” index only the main category page and not sub pages like page 1 and 2 etc.?

So the main category page is indexed like this one https://www.builtlean.com/nutrition/eating-tips/ but page 2 etc. will not be indexed like this one => https://www.builtlean.com/nutrition/eating-tips/page/2/. And only the main category pages show up in search.

Please advise!

Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math support today and bringing your concern to our attention.

Setting that to index should apply to all category pages and this will apply to the paginated page, unless the option “Noindex Paginated Single Pages” is enabled under Rank Math > Titles & Meta > Misc Pages.
