Schema markup

    Dear sir/miss,

Lately I am getting to know more about structured data/schema markup. I am adding this to the pages with Rank Math, mostly FAQ schema’s. But before I do this, I am checking if the code is valid with the Google Testing tool. When I only add one question and I test it, the tool says it’s valid. But when I add another question, all of a sudden the tool says it’s invalid. When I delete the second question and test it again it still is invalid, while it was valid before… How can I add the right schema?

Also, if I add the schema with Rank Math in WordPress, do I also need to put the code in the content. For example when in Elementor. I work with this program a lot. Do I need to put the Rank Math code in here?

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting the support and we regret the inconvenience caused.

Could you please share the affected URL so that we can investigate further?

As for your second question, it is always recommended to have the Schema data on the front end as well. You do not necessarily need to use the shortcode of Rank Math’s Schema, but you should ensure to have the FAQ/Schema content on the front end as well so that the search engines can relate the data.

    Hope this helps.

    Thank you.

    Hi Prabhat,

Thank you for your response. The affected URL is https://www.samonlinemarketing.nl/linkbuilding-uitbesteden/.

As for my second question, I just copy the text that is in the front end. So that will be fine then without a code I understand.

    Kind regards.

    Hello,

I tested the page with Google’s Rich Results testing tool and Schema Validator but was unable to replicate the issue. There are two questions added and the Schema is fully valid.

Please follow the below links to check the test results:
    https://search.google.com/test/rich-results/result?id=R7qmt_ogXPT335gMmUdMJQ
    https://validator.schema.org/#url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.samonlinemarketing.nl%2Flinkbuilding-uitbesteden%2F

If you’re still facing the issue, please clear your browser’s cache and test the page again.

Let us know how that goes.

    Thank you.

    Hi Prabhat,

Now it says it is valid indeed. It only gives a warning for the article schema about a missing author. Is that a problem? And where can I fill that in, because in the article schema there is not a lot you can change.

    Hello,

Please head over to your WordPress admin area > Rank Math > Titles & Meta > Authors, and enable the Author Archives:

Once done, clear your website’s cache and test the URL again to see if the warning is fixed.

Let us know how that goes.

    Thank you.

    Hi,

It was already on ‘enabled’. Also the noindex tag was activated. I put it on index but that didn’d work either. Now it is back on ‘enabled’ and ‘noindex’. What else can I do?

    Hello,

For the author issue, we just released a beta to address this issue, please follow this guide to enable the beta updates on your site and install the beta version to fix the issue: https://rankmath.com/kb/version-control/#beta-updates

As for the noindex issue, assuming you are using the latest version of all the plugins and the themes (please update if not yet), it would seem like a conflict with one of the plugins or the theme you are using.

To determine that, please follow this troubleshooting guide:
    https://rankmath.com/kb/check-plugin-conflicts/

Here is a video you can follow as well: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FcIWRhcUP2c

Only the site admin would know and your users won’t be affected by this troubleshooting.

If the issue persists, let us know and we would be glad to troubleshoot it for you.

    Looking forward to helping you.
