pinterest verification

    Rank Math free

Hi, I am trying to enter my pinterest verification code in Rank Math, under webmaster tools.

The code I am pasting is this: <meta name=”p:domain_verify” content=”d5962c4e35a8e47a546965591e5bc6e4″/>

When I enter the code, and click save, the code does not save but ends up chopped so only part of the code is saved. So therefore when I click to verify on Pinterest, it tells me they are unable to verify.
So when I go back to RM settings, I see the code as this: d5962c4e35a8e47a546965591e5bc6e4

Can you please take a look and see why this is happening because I have tried a few times now and each time, the code will not save in its entirety.
    Thank you,
    Mary

  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

You need to add the meta tag or the Verification ID under Rank Math > General Settings > Webmaster Tools > Pinterest Verification ID and after adding the verification tag, clear your website’s cache and verify it.

Please note that it can take some time (usually within an hour) to get the verification approved.

You can refer to this guide for more information:

Let us know how that goes.

    Thank you.

    Hi Sharmin,
Thanks for your advice, however, I did clear the cache and nothing happened, I went back to the RM settings and saw the code had not stuck and only showed the last part of it. So I am guessing this is why Pinterest is unable to verify as it is only seeing the last part of the code as described in my previous email. I have pasted it in several times and the entire string of code just won’t stick. It keeps deleting the first part.

    Hello,

By default, once you have entered the HTML verification code and saved it, only the ID remains in the textbox field (last part of the code).

Also, please note that it can take up to an hour for your website to get verified, and you will be notified via email.

If you are using any CDN, you should clear the cache from there and from your website after adding the verification code.

    I hope that helps.

    Thank you.
