I suspect that the images that you are assigning might be too tiny and less than the recommended size. Could you please assign an image that is at least 1200 x 630 pixels and let us know if the issue is still reproduced?

The images are produced for the case and are exactly 1200x630px in size.

1. Assuming you are using the latest version of all the plugins and the themes (please update if not yet), would you please check for a conflict with one of the plugins or the theme you are using.
To determine that, please follow this troubleshooting guide:

Only the site admin would know and your users won’t be affected by this troubleshooting.
2. This is expected behavior, you have to manually update each of the posts for the plugin to analyse the content since some JavaScript code needs to run on the page.
Unfortunately we have no workarounds or a way to automate this. We would not suggest automating that anyway.
Some of the tests only run when you load up a post. The score gets saved when you hit the update button. But, don’t just hit the update button without changing any content on your website. If you do this, Google will think you are trying to manipulate the date Google sometimes shows beside your search result ( https://i.rankmath.com/BiZDrV )
So, we recommend that you start with your most important posts, open then, make changes as per recommendations made by Google and then hit the update button.
P.S: Not to make any comparison but if you import to Yoast – the same thing happens.

Interestingly the problem seems to be solved now but I’m not really sure why.
Let me explain:
Re 1:
– Plugins and Theme were uptodate already.
– Health check plugin reported no issues (apart from a few intentionally inactive plugins)
Re 2:
– We had written all those posts that said “update post” after the last plugin update and we already updated and saved all of them without any changes.
I did however now start the Troubleshooting mode (after verifying again that updating the posts didn’t change anything before). In troubleshooting mode I only activated RankMath and could easily update the posts, got a score in the post list and also open graph images now got saved. I did 2 posts to verify it’s repeatable and then exited Troubleshooting mode. After that exit everything kept working as expected. I could update all problematic posts (around 10) and could confirmed all working with the social image.
Not sure what the problem was but it seems to be solved. Not ideal as I would prefer to know what the problem was but I guess it’s good as long as it’s working 😉
