Hi,
since yesterday we are having a huge issue with the product page layout. For some reason, Rank Math is adding a error404 class to each new product page body template (only with new products though, not already existing ones) and thus totally changing the page layout. When deactivating Rank Math, the layout is fine.
Please help ASAP!

Hello,
Thank you for contacting Rank Math for help with a conflict causing your new products to display incorrectly, and sorry for the inconvenience this issue has caused you.
I checked the products you linked to and they both seem to be displaying correctly. Do you mind giving us access to your website so we can investigate further?
Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WordPress & FTP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.
Please do take a complete backup of your website before sharing the information with us.
It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/temporary-login-without-password/
You can use the above plugin in conjunction with the WP Security Audit Log to monitor what changes our staff might make on your website (if any):

We really look forward to helping you.
Hi,
no, the screwed up product(s) are not displayed correctly. As you can see in the links I provided, the first link has a narrow width container and no breadcrumbs (due to the added error404 body class) and the second link with the correct layout has a wide container and breadcrumbs. Please check the links from desktop, not mobile!!
I can give you access to a staging site that is a copy of our site, please check the sensitive data.
Hello,
Thank you for your patience as we look into why some of your product pages are not displaying correctly.
I managed to track down the issue to the Rank Math redirection module, when It is deactivated under Rank Math > Dashboard, the product pages begin displaying correctly. Screenshot:
Please try the following, go to your WordPress dashboard > Settings > Permalinks and click ‘Save Changes’ without making any changes. This will refresh the permalink settings. Check the product pages after saving.
If the above doesn’t work, please confirm the following: Do you have any other redirection plugins installed as they may be conflicting with Rank Math? Did you recently change any redirection rules or the website URL structure?
Please give as much detail as possible including screenshots or a screencast if possible.
Looking forward to helping you.
Hi,
I saved the permalinks but no change, the products layout is still wrong. No, we don’t have any other redirection plugin installed. Everything is exactly as you can see it on the staging site. And we never had this problem before, it started last week, without having made any changes. But there was a Rank Math update – maybe a bug in the new version? So as you said, when the redirects module is disabled, the layout is correct – so there must be a bug in Rank Math. Additionally, I noticed that Rank Mth does not export the redirects correcly. We have 550 redirects, but when you export them to htaccess, the downloaded file only shows around 20 redirects! Please also let me know what is going on there!
Hello,
We would like to debug the issue in detail.
Can you please share your FTP login for your staging site in the Sensitive Data section?
This should help us access the plugin files and further troubleshoot the issue.
We are looking forward to helping you on this one.
Hi,
yes I will. By the way, with the old version before the update last week everything is working w/o issues.Hello,
After a couple of troubleshooting to your website, I noticed that your product page returns a 404 page when I switched to a different and much more standard theme. This might be the reason why Rank Math is adding that class as it sees this product page as an actual 404. However, your custom theme “meinbaukastenVersion” seems to display it visibly.
Can you please check this one with your theme developer?
If the issue persists, let us know and I’ll forward this to our dev team.
Looking forward to helping you.
Hi,
no, it is not theme related, I had contacted the developer and he could not recreate the issue. And s you said, when you switch to a standard theme, the product page returns 404, so even with a different theme the issue exists. When you create a new product with a standard theme though, everything is correct, even when you enable the custom theme afterwards. But again, before Rank Math update last week, we had no issues at all.
Also, please let me know my second question regarding exporting the redirects to htacess!
Thanks.Okay, another thing that is REALLY strange: the layout (correct vs incorrect) depends on the product permalink! If I add a new product withe the permalink /p/uncle-goose, it will have the incorrect layout. But if I add a new product with permalink /p/test, everything is fine! I checked our redirects, but we have no redirects for Uncle Goose…
I found the problem, and part of it Rank Math related.
We actually DO have redirects for “Uncle Goose”, and that is why the error page is showing up. BUT: these redirects are not displayed in Rank Math…for some reason, Rank Math says we have 550 redirects. But when I install another redirect plugin and import all these into the new plugin, it says we have 620 in Rank Math. And exactly in the ones that are not displayed in the Rank Math list, “Uncle Goose” is. So Rank Math is not displaying all the redirects correctly in the list, and as mentioned before, it is also not exporting all the redirects (it exports only around 20 instead of the 620). So please let me know what is going on there and fix this bug. Thanks!Hello,
The number you see in the list is the number of the redirection rules. Since you have created multiple redirections in some rules the actual number of redirections is more than 550 and that’s why you are seeing the difference in the imported redirections and the number in the list.
For the issue with .htaccess import, please provide admin-level access so we can check it further.
Looking forward to helping you.
Thanks, but that does not help. For example, the redirect including “Uncle Goose” is not displayed at all in Rank Math, but when I look at the redirects with another plugin, I can see it. So why is Rank Math not displaying it then?
Also, you don’t need admin access (and you have FTP access). You can simply export them the redirects from Rank Math to htaccess and then look at the file that is downloaded. It does NOT include 620 redirects, only around 20.
Hello,
The redirection for
uncle-goose
slug is in our redirections module:
It is created under this rule:
You can simply search for
uncle-goose
in our redirections module to find it. And we will need to install a plugin to check the database size of redirections to check the issue with .htaccess export and for that, we will need admin-level access.Looking forward to helping you.
