    Hi there,

the following message keeps showing up in my wordpress backend, even though I have reconnected it several time.

German: Die URL deiner Website hat sich geändert, seit du sie mit Rank Math verbunden hast. Klicke hier, um die Verbindung wiederherzustellen.

English: The URL of your website has changed since you connected it to Rank Math. Click here to reconnect.

    What can I do?

Apart from that, I have massive problems with indexing my website since installing rank math. My homepage was somehow set to “noindex” even though I have never changed that manually.

    Many thanks for your help.

  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math and sorry for any inconvenience caused.

Please add the following filter on your website and then reconnect to your account one more time?
    https://rankmath.com/kb/filters-hooks-api-developer/#disable-domain-checking

After that, the plugin should be able to stay connected without any issues.

As for your indexing issues, the homepage is already set to index.

Please check for URLs in your Google Search Console and look for any coverage issues so we can identify why Google refuses to index your pages.

Looking forward to helping you on this one.

    Hello,

I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?

    Thank you.

    Hello,

Could you confirm if the filter shared by my colleague fixed the first issue you were facing?

Regarding indexing, the URL you shared in the sensitive data section is set to index and is already indexed. The domain redirects to the /de/ version of the website.

As for the title and meta description, I checked and the title of the indexed version of the homepage matches the set German version. You can have a look at the screencast in the sensitive data section of this ticket for a quick reference.

However, title/description not matching is pretty common with Google these days. Happening with 70% of the results that even if everything’s fine, Google can choose to show a different meta title/description for your search keyword.

Please refer to this guide for more details:

Here’s another article that you might find useful: https://www.searchenginejournal.com/why-google-rewrites-meta-descriptions/370452/

The best approach here is further optimizing the title/description to better match the user’s search intent, and hopefully, Google would use it in the future.

    Hope that helps.

    Thank you.

    Hi Prabhat,

    many thanks for your response.

The filter you shared fixed the first issue, yes. Many thanks.

Moreover, your information about title and meta description and the screencast helped me understanding this issue as well.

    Thank you & best regards
