Hello,
Thank you for contacting Rank Math and bringing your concern to our attention. I’m sorry for any inconvenience this issue may have caused you.
From your screencast, it seems that you have added the FAQ block inside a container.
The FAQ Block needs to be added as an FAQ Block on the editor in order for Rank Math to detect the insertion and also add the necessary Schema to the page’s header.
If the issue still persists after adding it outside the container, assuming you are using the latest version of all the plugins and the themes (please update if not yet), it would seem like a conflict with one of the plugins or the theme you are using.
To determine that, please follow this troubleshooting guide:
https://rankmath.com/kb/check-plugin-conflicts/Here is a video you can follow as well: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FcIWRhcUP2c
Only the site admin would know and your users won’t be affected by this troubleshooting.
Let us know how this goes.
Thank you.
Hello,
I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?
Thank you.
Hello
I created a staging site, troubleshooted as per the instructions, found the conflicting plugin and deactivated it
The faq now appears on the frontend, but it doesn’t have any styling
Please check the new staging site link in the sensitive area
Thanks
In order to style the FAQ block easily, I am inserting it in the Generateblocks container block
It seems like the Rankmath plugin is detecting the FAQ as it increases the score in the editor
However if you thinks its best to use it without the container, I will remove it and style it manually
Please assist with this tooHello
I was able to style it after following this article https://rankmath.com/kb/turn-faq-block-into-accordion/
Please confirm if I can use it with Generatepress container or not
Hello,
You can’t use the FAQ Block inside a container as if it is inside the container, it will not add the FAQ Schema to the post. So please add it as an individual block.
Hope this helps. Let us know if you need any other assistance.
Thanks.
Also there are no line gaps coming up on the frontend even when I am adding them in the editor https://a.cl.ly/E0uyZxyX
Hello,
The FAQ block takes the default paragraph styling from your theme. You’ll need to set custom CSS for the FAQ block in the theme customizer (or your preferred method to add CSS). You can follow this guide for how: https://www.wpbeginner.com/plugins/how-to-easily-add-custom-css-to-your-wordpress-site/
Here’s the CSS snippet you’ll need to add:
.rank-math-answer p { margin-top: 10px; }
Hope that helps. Please let us know if you have questions.
That worked
