Where do I redirect the deleted URLs?

    So far I have redirected deleted URLs with 410 codes in case I don’t have a new alternative.

    I suspect that it is better to redirect the url to the homepage. it’s a good idea?

    What procedure should I follow?

    Thank you for contacting Rank Math.

    It is not recommended to redirect all the 404 pages to the homepage. 404s should be redirected only to their relevant target sources.

    If you do not have a relevant page, then the best way to handle the 404s is to mark them as 410.

    If you set the URLs to 410, Google knows for sure you removed the URL on purpose.
