Hello,
Thanks for contacting us and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.
The %title%
variable uses the title of the post where images are displayed. If you want to use the image’s title, you can use the %imagetitle%
or %filename%
variable.
Hope this helps. Let us know if you need any other assistance.
% imagetitle% does not work.
% filename% is the name of the image. At this point it is best to disable the
Title attribute? I added it to have an extra chance on the leaderboards. “role-playing games 1” is bad to read and makes you discover my used keywords.
Hello,
Sorry for the confusion, the %imagetitle%
variable works for the ALT tags, not for the Title tag. You will have to use the %filename%
variable if you want to add a different title tag for each image or enter them manually in the advanced settings of the Image block.
Hope this helps. Let us know if you need any other assistance.
Tell me what to do, because I am a beginner. Does the Title Attribute improve SEO? What should be written there? Definitely not “example 1”. Do you know methods to rename uploaded media? I have a plugin, but it adds the file numbers if they are duplicates or if I had an old media with that name.
Do you necessarily need the file name? It’s good put ALT tag as Title Attribute?
Hello,
Yes, the image title attribute does potentially affect the SEO although, search engines prioritize the alt text and image file names.
I would suggest giving your effort on image file names as Search Engines like Google also checks it and optimizes the SERP. Kindly ensure to have an image with a descriptive filename and also ensure that the keyword is mentioned then. You can then make use of the %filename%
variable in your title attribute as suggested by my colleague.
You can make use of this handy plugin to bulk rename your images: https://wordpress.org/plugins/media-file-renamer/
Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.
