Hello,
Thank you for contacting Rank Math and bringing your concern to our attention. I’m sorry for any inconvenience this issue may have caused you.
I’ve checked your sitemap, but it is returning an error 404.
For initial troubleshooting, please follow these steps (if not yet):
1. Flush the Sitemap cache by following this video screencast:
https://i.rankmath.com/pipRDp
2. Exclude the Sitemap files of the Rank Math plugin in your caching plugin. The cache could be via a plugin or from the server. For plugins or Cloudflare, please follow this article:
https://rankmath.com/kb/exclude-sitemaps-from-caching/
Let us know how this goes.
Thank you.
Hello, the sitemap is still inaccessible to Google. I would like to point out that the sitemap can be seen by Bing and seen by Yandex. Only Google does not see it.
Hello,
I checked and the sitemap is loading properly now. However, I investigated further and noticed a few issues:
1. Upon testing the variations of your sitemaps with https://httpstatus.io/, I found that two variations are returning 200 status. You can have a look at the screenshot in the sensitive data section of this ticket.
Except for the preferred variation (which should return only a 200 status), all the non-preferred variations of the website should redirect to the preferred variation and return a 301 and 200 status.
Please follow the steps in this link:
https://rankmath.com/kb/couldnt-fetch-error-google-search-console/#num-5-check-for-the-correct-version-of-the-sitemap and redirect to the correct variation.
Once done, remove all the sitemaps from your Google Search Console account, and then submit only the main sitemap: /sitemap_index.xml
For more details, you can have a look at this guide: https://rankmath.com/kb/couldnt-fetch-error-google-search-console/
2. In your robots.txt file, a Disallow rule is added after the sitemap URL. A screenshot is in the sensitive data section.
It is recommended to keep the sitemap URL in the last line of the robots.txt. Please update the file accordingly. If you’re using Rank Math’s robots.txt, you can follow this guide to update it: https://rankmath.com/kb/how-to-edit-robots-txt-with-rank-math/
Once done, clear your website’s cache and give Google some time to crawl your website again and see if the issue gets fixed.
Hope this helps.
Thank you.
