    im trying to update my keywords and meta description but every time i update the page on the content is saved and the meta description and keyword updates are lost. i preview changes, clear the cache and inspect the code but my updates are not being retained. i am getting an error 404 dev tools.

    i am new to your software and could really use some help

    If the changes are not saving while using Rank Math, please check if you have any firewall as there are chances that it will prevent saving the data.

    Adding to my colleague’s reply.

    As the file is returning 404, please try using the default .htaccess file.

    Take a backup of your .htaccess file and replace it with the default WordPress .htaccess file. You can get the file here: https://wordpress.org/support/article/htaccess/
