Hello,
Thank you for contacting Rank Math and bringing your concern to our attention. I’m sorry for any inconvenience this issue may have caused you.
Could you please share the error message you’re getting? I’ve tried checking the txt file you shared, and it is opening fine.
Meanwhile, please try heading over to your WordPress admin area > Rank Math > Instant Indexing > IndexNow API settings > API Key, and click on “Change key”: https://rankmath.com/kb/how-to-use-indexnow/#change-api-key
Then, copy the API key from the above location and create a “txt” file in your website’s root directory with the name and content containing only the copied API key.
Once done, clear your website and browser’s cache and see if that fixes the issue.
Let us know how this goes.
Thank you.

https://www.silverflow.co/7ead01f534104a848f6089e533a14219.txtHello,
The API key URL you shared in your initial message seems to be loading properly.
Please delete the API key file from your root directory and follow the steps mentioned by my colleague to recreate the file.
Please note that you do not need to “Change Key” after creating the txt file.
Once done, try submitting a few URLs to IndexNow and see if that fixes the issue.
If not, we might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WordPress & FTP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.
Please do take a complete backup of your website before sharing the information with us.
It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/temporary-login-without-password/
You can use the above plugin in conjunction with the WP Security Audit Log to monitor what changes our staff might make on your website (if any):

We really look forward to helping you.
Yes, but if I renew, it should be working right? Do I always need to add it to our public HTML?
Before, when I was using Rankmath I could just easily update without fixing things in my public HTML.
Why is it now so hard?
If I always need to renew my API on WordPress and public HTML…
Hello,
You do not need to change the key unless you face any issues. If you’ve manually created the text file, you’ll need to update that file’s name and content each time you change the key.
Please perform the steps once and see if that fixes the issue.
Also, please delete any previously created API key text file from your root directory.
If you’re not sure, you can share the logins as suggested in my previous reply and we will do the needful.
Hope that helps.
Thank you.
Hi,
So this system isn’t as automated as usual?
Then ok, I will change itHello,
The file should be added automatically but since it is not added on your website you need to add it manually.
Don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any other questions.
