1. The recommended value for Links Per Sitemap is 200. We recommend this value as it is easier for bots to crawl sitemaps with fewer links, that is, we’ve observed that sitemaps with fewer links are crawled more efficiently.
However, if you want, you can increase it to 500 from your WordPress admin area > Rank Math > Sitemap Settings > General > Links per Sitemap.

2. If you flush the sitemaps regularly to get the latest posts listed, then this is a clear indication that the sitemaps are getting cached.
Please follow the below steps to permanently exclude your sitemap from being cached:
a. Exclude the sitemaps of Rank Math in your caching plugin. The cache could be via a plugin or from the server. For plugins or Cloudflare, please follow this article: https://rankmath.com/kb/exclude-sitemaps-from-caching/
b. Flush the Sitemap cache one last time by following this video screencast:

c. Clear your website and browser’s cache and see if the issue is fixed.
