Yoast Migration

    Hello!

I’m planning to implement RankMath on our site in place of Yoast in the next few weeks and wanted to confirm a few things:

    1. Is there any downtime between turning off Yoast and importing the data that could cause errors on the site? Should I plan to do this outside of high-traffic hours?
    2. Is it possible to add and test this plugin on our staging environment first?

    Thanks in advance!

    Amanda

  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math and bringing your concern to our attention.

    1. If you’re importing from Yoast, there should not be any downtime as you can process it while the Yoast plugin is still active. However, you can try it outside traffic hours if in any case there would be unexpected issues upon installing the plugin (like plugin compatibility, server errors, etc.)

Here’s a link for more information:

    2. Yes, you can try the Rank Math plugin on your staging site first before using it on a live site.

    I hope that helps.

    Thank you.
