Can't edit images on blogs when Rank Math installed - Support

Rank Math free

I have to keep deactivating Rank Math plugin in order to edit or upload images for my blog. How do I fix this? Thanks for your help.

Please check your browser console for script errors when you attempt to upload images to your website.

If there’s any Rank Math-related error, please share it here so we can further determine what’s causing the issue.

If you prefer, we can take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WordPress login in the designated Sensitive Data section.

Please do take a complete backup of your website before sharing the information with us.

It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:

Hello,

Thank you so much for sharing a screencast for us to further replicate the issue.

However, I can’t seem to replicate the issue, I was able to open the media pop up as you can see in my screencast here: https://i.rankmath.com/dYniwy

This might be a browser-related issue. Can you please try doing it in a different browser and see if you are able to change the image via Divi?

I tried it on Safari and it’s still the same issue. Previous browser was Chrome. How odd that you are able to do it though.

Can you please replicate the issue again from your end, but this time, please open the browser console and check for any Rank Math-related script error so we can further determine what’s causing the issue.

Thank you for the screenshot. The “JQuery is not defined” error is usually caused by one of the following.
- Outdated plugins or theme. Please update make sure all your plugins, theme and WordPress core are up-to-date.
- Insufficient Server resources. Please increase your PHP variables to the following values:
```
PHP Memory Limit: 512M
Max input time: 150
PHP time limit: 120
PHP max input variables: 1000
```
- A conflict between one or more of your plugins or theme. After making sure WordPress, your theme and plugins are update, please perform a conflict test as described in the following post: https://rankmath.com/kb/check-plugin-conflicts/. Once you have established the conflicting theme/plugins please let us know and we’ll investigate further. Also contact support for the other theme/plugins as they may already have a solution.

I tried following the steps but once the plugins were deactivated I could not reproduce the issue as the “edit with divi” function was gone (this was where the issue with rank math was happening)

Hello,

You can activate a non-default theme while in troubleshooting mode as shown in the following screencast: https://i.rankmath.com/d2drXE

I repeated the steps shown in the previous screencast with the “Divi” theme instead of the “Divi Horizons” child theme and got the image library dialog box to work. This means that the “Horizons” child theme is the source of the conflict.

I checked Horizons child theme file and narrowed it down to the following code snippet.

Please contact your child theme creator fix the above code snippet which gives your website a minor performance improvement, or remove it to fix the conflict.
