    Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math, and sorry for any inconvenience caused.

Please check the URL using https://www.heymeta.com/ and see if it is showing the correct description that you added with Rank Math.

However, it is a pretty common thing with Google these days. It happens with 70% of the results that even if everything’s fine, Google decides to show a different meta title/description for your search keyword, there is nothing you can do as Google sometimes ignores the custom meta info altogether and show something from the page’s content that matches the search intent better.

You can refer to this guide for more information:
    https://rankmath.com/kb/different-meta-title-and-description/

I hope this helps. Looking forward to helping you.

Do you know how long this has been going on?

    Hello,

This is how Google optimizes your website’s meta description and this has been a standard for a very long time.

The best you can do is optimize your meta title and description to try and match the intent of the search/keyword as instructed by my colleague in the previous reply.

You can read more about it here
    https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/35624?hl=en

Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.

But, it is that it is indexing a page that it should not index, a description that is not, in that case, what utility does your plugin have, only for open graph?, because I do not see any other utility if what I do is not reflected, like comment, before it was fine

They could perform an audit of my page if I give them access, to make sure that everything is configured correctly, your tool has really been useful and now that is happening.

    Hello,

As mentioned earlier and in the documentation, this is how Google chooses the title/meta description and no SEO plugin or tool has control over this.

Google chooses the title/description it finds suitable for the search term to match the user’s search intent. If Google finds the set title/description suitable, it uses that, but if not, a different title/description can be used.

As for the utility of Rank Math, along with the options to set a title/description, we offer a wide range of features that you can use to SEO optimize your website: https://rankmath.com/wordpress/plugin/seo-suite/

The best approach for the meta description is to further optimize it to match the user’s search intent and hopefully, Google would use it again in the future.

    Hope this helps.

    Thank you.
