Can’t unset the remove category base

    Hi.
    I have read the page about removing the base category.
    My problem is the opposite.
    Previously, I have this setting ON but I now want to keep the category base. there is a huge number of posts already used on the site.
    setting
    But unsetting the setting on rankMath leads me to a very long loading time which finally Time-Out with a ‘504 Gateway Time-out’.
    Timeout
    I have already tried setting memory to max of the server can and it’s 512mo so it’s not a tiny hosting.
    Is there another way to unset the removal of base category, do it by chunck, who wouldn’t ime-out, do it via SQL, or any other way ?

    Thank you for contacting Rank Math for help disabling the “Remove Category base” setting.

    Please verify that there are no other posts/ post types that are not using the category base URL as this can cause a conflict. Once you have disabled the setting, please navigate to Settings > Permalinks and click “Save Changes” to flush the permalink settings.

    Hi,
    Haven’t found any other posts which would use the same slug.
    You said “Once you have disabled” and that the steps I have problem with.
    I uncheck the settings but while saving with the button, the page is loading for a very long time and finally stop on the 504 Gateway Time-out.
    If I returned to the page, the setting is still checked and retrying doesn’t give me more luck.
    That’s why I was asking how to remove the option by another way, an option to edit in database, or a filter to operate it by smaller chunk in order to not timeout.
    Where is located this setting? For it to timeout, I was thinking that could be a specific meta of rewrite which must be placed on all related terms or posts.
    Is removing MathRank would revert to default ? I will prefer to keep RankMath settings but can’t find a way to indo this Rankmath setting.

    Does the issue only happens on selected posts or is it happening in the entire posts?

    Hi,
    I’ve found the problem which is cause by the Hide My WP security plugin. Disabling it let me uncheck this RankMath setting without timeout. After that I could renabled Hide My WP.
