RankMath Divi Bug?

    Hi, everyone,

    So I have a very weird instance of something happening on my site.

    I am able to use the Divi front-end builder on all of my pages just fine.

    However, on the homepage, it doesn’t load. When I disable the RankMath plugin, lo and behold it starts working perfectly fine again. Re-enable the plugin, then it stops working on the homepage again.

    This ONLY happens on the homepage, nowhere else.

    Has anyone else experienced this issue before?

    Thank you for contacting Rank Math and bringing your concern to our attention. I’m sorry for any inconvenience this issue may have caused you.

    We have not received a similar case with the latest version of Rank Math and Divi recently.

    For initial troubleshooting, could you please check if there are some PHP values that are too low and which you should increase? Please get in touch with your web host and ask them to set the following values:

    PHP Memory Limit: 512M
    Max input time: 150
    PHP time limit: 120
    PHP max input variables: 1000

    Once done, clear your website’s cache and check again.

    Right, so PHP version: 7.4
    All the values you’ve sent have been met/exceeded, so that should not be a problem.

    The browser cache has been cleared, even tried on a different computer, still happens.

    Hello,

    I logged into your website’s admin area and was able to replicate the issue. When Rank Math is enabled, there’s an error 500 reported in the browser’s console. You can have a look at the screencast in the sensitive data section of this ticket.

    I did some troubleshooting but the issue persists.

    Can you please share the error log with us?

    I have added the bit of code to my wp-config.php file. So I am assuming you guys are going to do further testing, then let me know when you need the debug file? You should still have access to the site.

    Of course, there will be no errors in there yet? Or would you like me to replicate the problem for the error log to fill up?

    The 500 error is a server error so this should populate the server error log provided that you have the PHP error logging enabled.

    Please check the latest entries for the server error log and share the messages related to Rank Math with us so we can pinpoint the exact issue.

    If you are not sure about this error logging please get in touch with your hosting provider and ask them to either enable that or share the current one if that’s already enabled.

    So I have added the code to the wp-config.php file as Prabhat had me do via this link: https://wordpress.org/support/article/debugging-in-wordpress/.

    However, there is no debug log file here yet, checked everywhere. (On the cPanel).

    The 500 errors are server errors and as such most of them won’t even appear on the WordPress error log.

    As we mentioned before, you would need to enable the PHP and server error log and check the related server error log: https://support.rankmath.com/ticket/rankmath-divi-bug/?view=all#post-380837

    Okay, so I realised something interesting.

    I had other problems on the website (unrelated to this post) – which I then figured out was EWWW Image Optimizer.

    When I disabled this plugin, (and still had RankMath) active, all of a sudden, the problem above seemed to have vanished.

    So it would seem something happened between Rank Math and EWWW Optimizer.

    I have moved on to disable EWWW and have emailed their support and I am waiting on a resolution.
