Featured images for CPT posts not showing in Facebook

    Hi!

We used IFTTT to add an automated rss feed to the FB page for our site. The posts have been working but they will not show the featured image assigned to the posts but instead default to the fallback image. The featured image in each post is standard wordpress, not an ACF, though the posts themselves are all CPTs. When I check the rss feed link all of the images are showing up as they should after I added a code snippet ( see images), but the posts to the FB page show up exactly as shown in the FB debugger image below.

Would love some help with this. Wondering if there is something in the rank math settings that I could have set up incorrectly, although I have searched and can’t see anything obvious.

    Thanks!

  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math and bringing your concern to our attention. I’m sorry for any inconvenience this issue may have caused you.

I’ve checked the affected URL from your screenshot, and it seems that the featured image you have used is in a .webp format.

Please ensure that the image file format you are uploading is only between jpeg, gif, or png, and the image resolution is as close as 1200 x 630 pixels as per Opengraph Standards.

Once done, clear your website’s cache and check again using Facebook Debugger Tool.

    I hope that helps.

    Thank you.

Oh my gosh, I hadn’t even thought about that. I’ll try it, thanks so much for your help!
