GA4 Support Timeline? — Google sunsetting Universal Analytics Properties

    Hello,

    Thanks for contacting us and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

    We currently don’t have an ETA for GA4 integration as the GA4 API is still in the beta phase. You can confirm that here: https://developers.google.com/analytics/devguides/reporting/data/v1

    We already have a working PR internally that uses the beta GA4 API and we are waiting for Google’s confirmation to use their API in production. As soon as we get the confirmation we will release the update for everyone. Currently, no other SEO plugin offers GA4.

    For now, you can use the GA4 property with Rank Math by following this guide: https://rankmath.com/kb/using-ga4/

    It might behoove you to be the first SEO plugin that supports GA4 since this is what I get when I follow your workaround directions. As I’ve been updating my other clients to GA4 I’ve found that while the properties are “linked” they don’t include historical data. I would really like to prevent that BEFORE July 2023.

    Unfortunately, there’s nothing more that we can do at the moment as the APIs are in Beta. However, we will integrate GA4 and release the update as soon as the APIs come out of Beta.
