Hello,
Thanks for getting in touch.
Direct Images added via your post or pages are automatically added to their respective sitemaps. Attachment sitemap is different and should be disabled in 99% of the cases because you do not usually want your thin content attachment pages to appear in the SERPs.
If you believe the images aren’t added to your sitemap, could you please:
1. Share a screenshot of your post sitemap with the number of images column?
2. Let us know if you are using Divi or any other page builder plugin’s image module to add those images?
We look forward to helping you.

Hi there,
Thanks for the follow up.
The only image that is on the second URL that you have referenced is the background image, it is recommended not to index unnecessary images such as navigational and background graphics. Our plugin focuses on images that are relevant for SEO such as product images.
I hope this info helps.
I want the background image not to be indexed as it relates to this section.
how to do it?
thanks
HI there,
Thanks for the follow up.
I am not sure whether there was a typo in your last response, do you mean that you want to index the background images on the page? This is the thin content that my colleague discussed above which we don’t recommend having on your sitemap since this would negatively affect your SEO.
If it is an option, I would suggest that you assign a featured image to the post to go with the content on the page to instead of including the attachment post type to the sitemap.
I hope this info helps.
my background images match the page
Hello,
Rank Math (or any other SEO plugin for that matter) will only add the images inside the post content to the sitemap.
There is no way to add images added by your theme in the BG etc.
Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.
