Thank you for contacting Rank Math and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.
The export of metadata and import to a different website only works in the PRO version of the plugin.
In the Free version, we only import the settings from the plugin and not any metadata from the posts and pages.
Also, even in the PRO version, the IDs from the pages must match for the import to be processed correctly.

Do we need to purchase two PRO accounts? One for live and one for dev? This would be quite annoying and overkill?
Please explain the process clearer please. We will upgrade our LIVE to PRO which makes sense, but what do we do on DEV
We have upgraded to pro on this account and will include on live now
And we are trying to export from PRO and import into dev which is FREE.
When you guys reply, you should also factor in and explain the process too so we’re not wasting more time with writing/updating these tasks. Thanks.

To import your titles, meta and redirects to the dev/staging site, please activate your Rank Math PRO/Business account and plugin on the dev site as well.
Once you have Rank Math PRO active on the dev site, please verify that the Post IDs on the dev site match the post IDs on the live site. You can do this by performing an CSV export from the dev site and from the live site too. Next, compare the CSV files and see if the SEO title and ID columns on each row are the same in both CSV files. If they are not the same, you can sort all the rows (excluding 1st) so they are in the same order on both files, then copy and paste the ID column from the Dev CSV file into the Live CSV file. Once you have set the correct IDs you should be able to import the titles & meta CSV to the Dev site now.
Please note, the above procedure only works if no new posts have been added to either site. If there are new posts on either live or dev you may have to manually match post IDs.
