Hi, Instant Indexing shows URL successfully indexed via Google API. But when I am checking manually in Google Search Console, it shows it gives option to request indexing and its been over 48 hours.

Let me tell you that the site was offline for some days. Had to change hosting. Now added a new hosting and started the site again. Google Service Account is already added from before. And I posted an article, send to Google API via Instant Indexing and it showed Success but upon manually checking Search Console it’s giving option to Request Indexing. I already updated site map in search console and it’s over 48 hours.

Problem is why Instant Indexing shows Success when Search Console do not recognize the URL?

  • Hello,

Thanks for contacting us and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

The Success message in the Instant Indexing means that the URL has been submitted to the Indexing API of Google successfully. However, it is still up to them when they decide to index the URL. Using Instant Indexing doesn’t mean that the URL will get indexed instantly, it only means that it will be submitted to Google instantly.

So you will have to wait for Google to decide to index the URL. Also, the URL inspection report shows that the URL is a page with a redirect.

Can you please share the URL so we can check and assist your further?

    Looking forward to helping you.

Hello, it’s a different URL that I posted yesterday and wanted to index. But the article is the same. I added another word in the URL before publishing.

Would I need to remove the property from search console and add it back? or just have to wait now for google to start indexing?

    Hello,

You just need to wait for Google to start indexing your URLs, removing the property and creating a new one isn’t gonna help with the indexing.

It can take a few days sometimes to get the URLs indexed. You just need to wait for Google to start crawling your site again and index the URLs.

Please don’t hesitate to get in touch in case you need any other assistance.

    Thanks.
