posts not getting added to sitemap

    Hi,

    I’ve added new posts in the last couple of weeks that aren’t getting added to my sitemap which means that although Google is visiting my site (as recently as yesterday), the posts aren’t seen or added to the sitemap and as a result, not getting indexed.

    I’ve never had this problem previously. Typically, posts are added quickly and then indexed by Google.

    I’ve seen other, similar problems and the instructions said to Flush the Sitemap cache, however, I don’t see the field to add/change the number of links. (‘Links per sitemap’ field)

    Some options are only available when Advanced Mode is enabled in the Rank Math dashboard:

    Thank you. I’ve changed the number from 200 to 201 for the ‘Links Per Sitemap’ but I don’t understand how this is going to help? Can you explain?

    As well, I’ve read the instructions for excluding the sitemaps from caching and it seems like it’s quite risky and can introduce problems. Is it possible that the step above (links per sitemap) will fix my problem or will excluding sitemaps from caching be the only way to resolve the problem?

    Changing the number of links will flush the sitemap cache and update the sitemap.

    Excluding the sitemaps from caching is safe, and we recommend excluding the sitemaps from caching to avoid this issue in the future.
