I have a lot of links reported and that I have edited and corrected, but Google marks the view a month ago. In the last week or so, I’ve made some big changes, but my rankings don’t change.

Hello,
Thank you for contacting the support.
As Google has not crawled the links after you’ve fixed the issues, the errors are still shown.
You can try clearing your website’s cache and “Validate Fix” after clicking on the error in your Google Search Console account: https://rankmath.com/kb/indexed-though-blocked-by-robots-txt-error/#conclusion
Even if everything is fine, the website getting ranked can take time. Also, here are some of the factors Google considers when ranking you: https://backlinko.com/google-ranking-factors
We suggest you also work on the points mentioned in the above article to further increase the chances of getting ranked higher.
Hope this helps.
Thank you.
Today I remembered having read on the web to list all the sitemaps. Unfortunately, I only listed the main ones and not the next-level ones. I hope the problem is all there. In fact, I had a lot of URLs that needed to be listed with sitemaps, but they didn’t.
Hello,
Google automatically fetches all the sub-sitemaps from your main sitemap and discovers all the URLs inside them. Please check the sitemap section of your GSC account and you should be able to see the discovered URLs and sitemaps.
And it can take Google anywhere from a couple of hours to months to crawl your site depending on the crawl budget of your site. Once you have validated the fix for an URL, all you have to do is wait for Google to crawl and index the changes.
Please don’t hesitate to get in touch in case you need any other assistance.
Thanks.
Now you’ve panicked me. You say that adding 4 sitemaps to Search Console and robots didn’t help index the links? The sitemap links are missing.
Hello,
Could you confirm if all the URLs are listed on the actual sitemaps on the website?
Please note that sitemaps are one of the ways through which search engines crawl/navigate through the website. There are other ways as well like internal links.
While submitting the sitemaps to your Google Search Console account, you only need to submit the main sitemap (
/sitemap_index.xml
) as while crawling the sitemaps, Google can automatically discover all the sub-sitemaps and also list them in the sitemaps section of GSC. Here’s a guide we suggest following while submitting the sitemap to GSC: https://rankmath.com/kb/submit-sitemap-to-google/Even if all the URLs/sub-sitemaps are not discovered, there’s nothing to be worried about as it is possible that Google is crawling and indexing the posts through other means like the internal links on your website and not through the sitemap, and as a result, the crawl budget for your website is exhausted and Google is not able to discover the URLs through your sitemaps.
As long as the posts/pages are getting crawled and indexed, there’s nothing to be worried about.
Also, it is recommended to add only the main sitemap in the robots.txt of the website for the same reason mentioned above.
Hope this helps.
Thank you.
I got a congratulatory email from Google on getting the first 5 clicks in 28 days. Are we sure it’s as you say? It may be that today I have earned the 5th click and that it does not depend on the addition of the 4 sitemaps.
Hello,
When Google crawls your main sitemap, it discovers all the sub-sitemaps the same way it discovers URLs from your sitemaps. However, if you feel that submitting the sub-sitemaps is benefiting the indexing of your URLs then you can submit the sub-sitemaps along with your main sitemap.
Please don’t hesitate to get in touch in case you need any other assistance.
Thanks.
If Google doesn’t cache my pages correctly, might it not rank them even though the articles are good?
Last night I changed the Supercache plugin because it gave me anomalies in the speed tests. I had removed some plugins to figure out the culprit of the slowdown and then reactivated them for confirmation. I found myself with the page fast for no reason, but doing the test on others was slow again.
Also, the cache always marked me 0 in memory. The site was running fast for me, so I thought it was a statistical error. But I have been trying to disable and enable plugins for months to find the culprit. So, in my opinion, it is Supercache for the problems I have listed for you.
But as a beginner, I would like to know if that could be the problem and how long it takes to position myself. The pages are already on Google but not classified.
As for the sitemap, I removed the 4 recently added and kept the main one.
Hello,
If Google does not crawl your pages, it can affect the rankings.
If you have made any updates on the page, you can submit the URL in the URL Inspection Tool in Google and Request Indexing for the updated page.
I will also recommend you design an SEO strategy to improve your rankings. Here are some of the factors Google considers when ranking you: https://backlinko.com/google-ranking-factors
Hope that helps.
Thank you.
I have a problem that has plagued me for some time; I have the Translatepress multilingual plugin. Which, if enabled, gives me 404 errors when I customize the Astra theme. Until now, I’ve ignored the problem, but I’m afraid this may be it. Could it be so?
Hello,
Having pages return a 404 error on your website usually it’s not an issue that could prevent your website from ranking unless there are a lot of pages with this error.
Basically, the #1 ranking factor for Google is the content so we recommend that you work hard on improving that and also create a clear internal linking strategy on the website to help Google crawl the website faster.
Hope this helps clarify your doubts.
Don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any other questions.
Unfortunately, I have redirects on all pages, and I think I understand the culprit; Translatepress. This plugin gives me 404 errors on customizing with the Astra theme. Supercache marked me 0 data in the cache (now I have another plugin, but nothing has changed). On EWWW Image Optimizer, I don’t have the images converted to Webp.
Do you have any guidance or advice to give? For me, the problems come from that plugin. I’ve asked for support from them too. But with limited time, getting advice sooner is better.
