Error on website once RANK MATH has been installed

    Hello there!

    I have been looking around for a good plugin to use for SEO and I decided to use RANK MATH based on a lot of research.

    I installed it a few days ago and I noticed that as soon as I did errors started to popup on my admin dashboard.

    The first one that I saw is this one:

    Notice: Constant FS_METHOD already defined in /data/vhosts/********/web/wp-config.php on line 95

    I am using Flatsome theme and once I entered editing some of the widgets on my homepage I noticed that there I have a lot of errors, for example I will post the errors that I see when I edit a simple text field on my website:

    Can you please help me on this issue? I don’t understand what I did wrong.

    When I installed it – I had YOAST Seo as an plugin (I think it was installed out of the box with WordPress) and I am thinking whether it is possible for both of these plugins to clash and create errors. Since it is a SEO plugin I am quite concerned whether these errors are bad for the website ranking..

    Thank you for contacting Rank Math and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

    It is likely that this is related to a conflict with one of your installed plugins and some custom directives in your wp-config.php file.

    Could you please perform the steps outlined below to check for conflicts:

    It would also help if you could share more info on the custom constants that you have defined on your wp-conflig.php so that we can advise further.

    Hey there, I am sorry for the late response. I installed the plugin and did the checks.

    The problem is linked with Rank Math since I did as follows:

    1. Activated Troubleshooting mode
    2. Activated the theme – no errors popped up
    3. Disabled the theme – no errors popped up
    4. Activated Rank Math – the above mentioned errors popped up

    In your previous comment you asked about information about the custom constraints that I have made in the wp-config.php – I have made none. I just installed WordPress + WooCommerce and haven’t played with the config file at all.

    Should DEBUGGING mode be disabled in order for me to use Rank Math?

    I would be really thankful if we can find a solution to these issues.

    We might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WP + FTP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.

    Hey there, I will upload the information tomorrow. Can you please provide me with the IP from which you will enter our FTP server so that we can allow it from our side? The reason for this is that we are use private hosting and we don’t usually allow external entries.

    Hi Olya,

    I am sorry but we do not have a static IP we can share with you.

    Most of us have dynamic IPs and the IP might change by the time someone from our team tries to access your website.

    However, I have shared this with the dev. team and you will receive a response soon about why the issue might be popping up.
