Meanwhile, assuming you are using the latest version of all the plugins and the themes (please update if not yet), it would seem like a conflict with one of the plugins or the theme you are using.

If a plugin affects one theme, it can affect many other WordPress themes.
In your example, the post is not published.
It feels like you don’t really understand what I’m talking about.
The problem is opening in already published content. Does not open in a separate window published images in the gallery (as an example in the link).

The plugin was disabled, now I specifically enabled it.
Please repeat the test.
Single photos could be looked at before (as in the test).
Important (!): See the photos below, where there are several in a row (gallery).
They do not open, with disabled plugin – they open in a separate window.

This was being caused by the option to redirect attachments that were enabled on your website under WordPress Dashboard > Rank Math > Links.
When we disable that the images load fine on their own pages.

We are simply disabling the option that redirects attachments to the page/post they are attached. This won’t cause any issues with the plugin and we have an article that goes over this setting and what might be the best options: https://rankmath.com/kb/should-you-redirect-attachments/
Having said that, it’s entirely up to you if you would like to keep redirecting or not the attachment pages.
