Cannot update SEO using RankMath

    Hi,

    We would like to use RankMath as our SEO plugin, but we are experiencing issues with updating SEO details. Please see attached image.

    We are not implementing a firewall on our server, and the security plugin we use is not blocking API calls. At a troubleshooting session, one of our developer was wondering the location of the file the method /wp-json/rankmath/v1/updatemeta?_locale=user is being called from. Can we know this just to be sure the method actually exists, and not because of a routing error?

    If you see blocked access to this file: /wp-json/rankmath/v1/updateMeta?_locale=user – then you should whitelist the file.

    Hi,

    Like I said in my first message, we are not using firewall or plugin to block API calls. Can we know which file the method is being called from just so we know that the method exists and not because of a routing error?

    The routes are returning a 404 error.

    Please take a backup of your .htaccess file and replace it with the default WordPress .htaccess file. You can get the file here: https://wordpress.org/support/article/htaccess/

    I noticed an error that I must have overlooked. On each page of the WordPress CMS, this error is produced:

    Error with Permissions-Policy header: Parse of permissions policy failed because of errors reported by structured header parser

    By any chance that may have prevented the plugin from saving the meta data?

    Hello,

    Could you please try to open the page in another web browser than Google Chrome and see if that error still persists?

    As the updateMeta route is returning a 404 error, to further investigate, please follow the steps mentioned by my colleague for using a default htaccess file and see if the issue gets fixed.
