critical error

    After updating today to the latest version, I get a message saying “Updating failed” at the top of the post page (but updates appear to process), or a critical error when the post uses the classic editor. The post.php page (after updating a classic editor post) shows a blank screen and “There has been a critical error on this website. Please check your site admin email inbox for instructions.”

    When I deactivate the plugin and update the pages, they go through smoothly.

    Could you please confirm if you’re using the instant indexing plugin on your site?

    We’re asking because we have identified this issue with the instant indexing from our latest update. To fix this, please deactivate/disable the instant indexing plugin temporarily on your site.

    Thanks for the quick reply and the suggestion. And yes, I was using instant indexing. But I saw there was already and update out for that this morning (mentioning a php fix), so after reading your message, I just installed that, kept both plugins activated, and no error when I updated a post (and a confirmation message about the update being submitted for indexing). So, one more test case for you guys to add to your list that the update does seem to fix the problem.

    I now see a new error — but within the Instant Indexing page, after trying to manually submit with IndexNow:

    I did the Instant Indexing (1.1.4) update earlier, but hadn’t tried the manual submit after that. And I just got a new Rank Math update (1.0.81.1) and ran that before trying the manual update. So, unsure if this error existed before I installed the latest Rank Math update.

    Hello,

    Please disable the Instant Indexing plugin for the Google API temporarily and submit a couple of URLs for Bing without the plugin active.

    Then reactivate the plugin and submit it again for the IndexNow API. This should help resolve the issue.
