The extra og: tags don’t seem to be generated by Rank Math. Is it possible you have another plugin generating the same meta data? You can use a Health Check plugin to check the plugin causing the issue.

Thanks, So I used that and determined my plug-in Storychief was added the extra set.
Any idea? Storychief has no settings for the metadata on page? And I don’t think it was doing this in earlier rankmath version. I’ve had those 2 plug-ins on since the beginning of rank math when I switched from Yoast.

If there is an option in SocialChief to disable og: tags, please use that.
Otherwise, you must disable the og tags added by Rank Math using this filter in your theme’s functions.php file:

Storychief doesn’t do anything to OG tags. There are zero settings for that. That is why this is so confusing. Only rankmath does anything to the OG tags.
Here is a response from Storychief support:
“Hi David. Thanks for getting in contact. So by deactivating the StoryChief WordPress plugin, the extra title and meta description tags are removed? Our plugin should be not changing any page on your site.”
So I still require assistance to understand what has changed and also have Storychief investigating as well. I am not sure if some update to rankmath caused this or an upgrade to storychief but it is a new condition.

Please show it to them and ask them for an option to disable it.
We have already given you the option to disable it in Rank Math if you want to go that route and only want social tags from Social Chief plugin.
