    Hi, on my previous website I implemented both Bing and Google auto-indexing with Rank Math and google indexing plugin.

    I have a new website and I used IndexNow Plugin by Microsoft for the auto-indexing of my website.

    1. I wanted to ask if am on the safe side or I should implement the Bing and Google auto-indexing with Rank Math.

    2. Do we need these auto-indexing plugins since we have already submitted the sitemap to Google and Bing?

    With the IndexNow plugin, I only have to install it and the plugin will do the auto-indexing.

    1. You can continue using IndexNow plugin.

    2. Google crawls the sitemap based on the crawl budget of the website, whereas the Indexing API and IndexNow helps in informing the search engines whenever a post/page is created, updated, or deleted.

    Hello,

    IndexNow is different than the Indexing API.

    We would not recommend using both at the same time.

    Okay so indexnow also submit to Google/bing/ yandex and others or just bing?

    Please between the Indexing API and the IndexNow which do you recommend? I was previously using the indexing API on my old site but choose IndexNow on my new site because of its ease of setup.

    Please which do you recommend?

    Hello,

    You don’t need to use the IndexNow plugin anymore as we have already integrated the IndexNow API in Rank Math’s latest update. However, if you want to submit URLs for instant indexing on Google then you will still need to install the Instant Indexing for Google plugin.

    And IndexNow submits the URLs to Bing and Yandex, and the Instant Indexing plugin submits the URLs to Google. So you should use the one based on where you want to index your site.
