Hello,
Thank you for contacting us and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.
Kindly check out this article from our knowledge base to fix this issue. https://rankmath.com/kb/ogimage-property-should-be-explicitly-provided/
This can also happen when you have the property but it’s so far down the page that the debugger ignores it completely because it won’t crawl the entire page to find those tags.
Try to set the meta tags as one of the first things on the page and then run the page through the debugger again.
Hope this helps solve your issues.
Don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any other questions.
yes i see source code has not og image tag . But how can i add please tell me
Hello,
I checked the page source, the featured image on the page is in webp
format which is not supported by og:image
tag. The supported formats are png, jpeg, and gif. You can read more about this here: https://developers.facebook.com/docs/sharing/webmasters/#images
Also, the image should be of the recommended dimensions to work correctly. The recommended dimensions are 1200px X 630px.
Please set the image of the supported format and dimensions to fix the issue.
Hope this helps.
Thank you.
Webp is lightest image format. And we use this for better ranking because its increase our site speed. Its not a big thing but its time to unistall rankmath plugin thankyou bye
And also webp is not the reason of og:image not showing when i share post on social media . Beacause i change image format into jpeg and its only show same thing so what i do now ?
Hello,
I checked the page source of your latest post, the featured image is still of the webp format.
webp image format is not supported by OpenGraph protocol, only jpeg, png, and gif images are supported.
Also, the preview is best shown when the image of the recommended dimensions is used.
The recommended dimensions of the social image are 1200px X 630px.
The images that you use should follow the Opengraph Standards.
After adding the image of recommended dimensions and type, scrape the URL with the Facebook Sharing Debugger.
https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/
I hope this helps.
Looking forward to helping you.
You guys are not solving our problem. We need to install open graph plugin and unistall rankmath plugin and install yoast 🥲
Hello,
OpenGraph protocols have been defined by Facebook and as per their guidelines, the link to which is shared by my colleague, og:image only supports PNG, JPEG, and GIF images.
This is irrespective of which SEO plugin you’re using.
If you want to test, please set a social image image of JPEG, PNG, or GIF format with the dimensions of 1200px X 630px and then test the page with Facebook’s Debugger and see if the image shows up. You might need to scrape the page again. Here’s how you can do that: https://rankmath.com/kb/open-graph-image-not-displaying/#:~:text=Click%20the%20Scrape%20Again%20button
If in case it doesn’t show the image, please share that post’s URL (with the image set as per the above factors) and we would investigate further.
We’re looking forward to helping you.
Thank you.
