Hello,
Thank you for contacting the support, and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.
I checked your website and you don’t have og:image
present when inspecting the view source:
Please head over to your WordPress Dashboard > Rank Math > Titles & Meta > Global Meta and ensure that you have uploaded your OpenGraph Thumbnail:
Rank Math also uses your homepage’s featured image so if you prefer adding a featured image, please do so in your homepage’s editor.
Let us know how that goes. Looking forward to helping you.
Hi Jeremy,
Firstly thanks for your support. I had already added OpenGraph thumbnail. However I would prefer the featured image to display. Neither the OpenGraph and Featured images display
Hello,
In this case, please check if there are other plugins or your current theme that might be hindering Rank Math to regenerate proper social meta tags for your website.
to determine that, please refer to this troubleshooting guide: https://rankmath.com/kb/check-plugin-conflicts/
Only the site admin would know and your users won’t be affected by this troubleshooting.
If the issue persists, we might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WordPress login in the designated Sensitive Data section.
Please do take a complete backup of your website before sharing the information with us.
It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:

You can use the above plugin in conjunction with the WP Security Audit Log to monitor what changes our staff might make on your website (if any):

We really look forward to helping you.
Hello,
I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?
Thank you.
Hi – I have just discovered that the issue maybe because I am using webp format images! If I change a post to jpeg the image appears to show fine.
Hello,
Yes, the OpenGraph only accepts standard image types. I checked your homepage again and it seems the og:image tag is now generated.
Could you please confirm if this resolves your issue?
Looking forward to helping you with this one.
Hi jeremy
I uploaded a png image for Global Meta and yes – it now works. I thought that webp was the way forward for all featured images! I spent the whole week reformatting them from jpeg to webp on 3 of my websites (over 500) only to discover this. It’s all fun and thank you for your support.
Hello,
Glad that helped.
Please feel free to reach out to us again in case you need any other assistance.
We are here to help.
