Issue with Sitemap

    Hi,
    I happened to do an SEO audit for my site and came across the below in the report –

    333 pages blocked from appearing in search engines – High Impact

    When I checked the details I found that these are recipe cards generated by a recipe plugin that I have running on my website. My blog is a recipe blog and hence these recipe cards are an integral part of the blog.

    On checking I couldn’t find anything that is blocking these. Also, even if they were to be blocked by design, I am not sure why they are showing up in the SEO audit.

    Any help would be sincerely appreciated.

    I checked the links using the URL viewer tool and noticed the following error:

    ERROR: Failed to connect to thetasteofindia.com port 443: Connection refused

    This error is usually due to a firewall on your server that is blocking the connection.

    Request you to please get in touch with your host about this and check if this is the case?

    But the problem isn’t that.

    The page is by design blocked because it isn’t supposed to be indexed. But it is still showing up in the SEO audit, I am not sure how and why?

    Is it something to do with the sitemap?

    Is there a way it can be tackled with as the SEO audit says that it is a “high impact” issue.

    If the page is correctly set to noindex and your SEO audit tool is not honoring that, you need to get in touch with the relevant support team to ask why their tool is crawling pages that are set to noindex.
