RankMath 404 Monitor and security related Plugins

    Hi,

    we use iThemes Security Plugin to watch the 404 log and create bans based on IPs triggering those 404s. When activating the 404 monitor in RM, it seems to me that the security plugin does not function anymore.It seems like RM “consumes” the errors before they reach the security plugin.

    Any information on this? Ways to have both functions available?

    I am afraid that running both of these features at the same time would only cause conflicts. I can suggest that you head over to Rank Math > Dashboard and disable the 404 monitor module.

    Hi Jochen,

    I am sorry but this is expected when you use two plugins for the same thing. Since you already have a solution in place to take care of 404s, you can disable Rank Math’s 404 Module like my colleague suggested.

    In the meantime, we will also check if there is room for improvement in our 404 monitor.
