At one time the home page was there along with the 404 page. Then the 404 page was in the sitemap and the home page was not. I had to use the id to remove the 404 page – would still show when I unpublished the 404 page. I have excluded the sitemap from WP Super Cache and have updated the Permalinks. I have cleared WP Super Cache. Currently, I have a manually developed sitemap (sitemapcj.xml) in Google Search Console with just the home page to get by until I can get a sitemap generated by RankMath. I used XMLSiteMaps.com to check out the robots.txt and no restrictions were found. I also used it for SE Bot Simulation and found nothing wrong there. The only nofollow was for external links. I also used that program to validate the RankMath sitemap and no errors were found. I even used some of the RankMath DB Tools to clear the data. I originally had Yoast installed but I never ran it – just Activated it. Looking for ideas as to what to try next.
