    Hi! I’ve been using Rank Math for a couple of months now and I have to say it’s an awesome plugin!

    I have a question related to changing URLs and redirections. In your blog it says that when you change an URL and you have the redirection option ON, it will redirect the old URL to the new URL automatically…

    But, what happens to the incoming links? Meaning that, if I have, for example, 5 links that point to the old URL, that means that I will have to change the old URL to the new one in all of the post that are linking to it? Or they will also change automatically?

    Hello,

    Thank you for contacting Rank Math and bringing your concern to our attention.

    The links juice is passed from the source to the destination URL with time once the search engine bots realize that it is a redirection. So for this, you do not have to worry about it.

    Moreover, the internal links in your posts won’t be updated, but they will be properly redirected to the new ones.
