    Hello,
Is there a way to reset the number of redirect “Hits” back to 0? I have been making numerous URL changes with fixes and some of the numbers are incorrectly elevated when I was testing. All is working okay on the site, just wanted to see if there is a way to reset the redirects “Hits” to 0.

Please let me know if this is possible.

    Thank you very much.

  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting the support, and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

This will require you to head over to the database admin of your choice and clear all the entries from the hit column. Please refer to my screenshot here:database

The database table that you are going to look at is wp_rank_math_redirections.

I recommend conducting a full backup of your database first before doing the steps above.

Let us know how it goes. Looking forward to helping you.

    Hello,
My apologies for my late reply. It seems risky to execute your above step, plus there is no easy way to access the DB backend in wordpress.COM. Please consider to add this functionality if possible in a future release. It makes is hard to evaluate the redirect stats, especially around testing when making a URL change. It would be best to be able to reset one or all if necessary. I will not take steps to reset the redirects as of right now due to the complexity and risk outside of the RankMath plugin. Thank you.

    Hello,

I understand your concern and since you have no access to your database, you may not be able to clear the hit column.

With that said, we don’t have immediate plans on adding this type of feature to clear redirection hit data but this is indeed a handy feature to add to our Database Tools settings page. Let’s hope it will be included in the feature.

Please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.
