When RankMatch plugin is active, I can not update any pages.

    Hi,

    Need your help, I am just starting to try RankMath. Now I have below issue need your help before I can decide to buy the Pro version.

    The problem is: When I activate RankMath plugin, if I update any page and click on “Update”, the small point inside the small circle ahead of the “Update” button keeps turning all the time. Check here: https://ibb.co/QmpGG0M

    The Update can not be finished. The only solution is to “Deactivate RankMath Plugin”, then everything come back to normal. The Theme I am using is Enfold.

    Any solution to fix this problem? Please kindly help.

    Could you please check your browser console for script errors when you save your changes in your posts/pages?

    If you see an error containing “updateMeta”, then your server must be blocking Rank Math’s API. Please refer to this guide to fix it: https://rankmath.com/kb/meta-data-not-saving/#firewall

    It seems like the /wp-json/rankmath/v1/updateMeta route is getting blocked on your site.

    Whitelisting the route should fix the issue.

    Please also clear your browser cache and cookies, and you should be able to update the SEO metadata.

    Seem I found ways to solve the issue: 1. Clear the cashe on my WordPress website. 2. As I have another plugin named: WP rocket, if the page can not be updated with white spot keep turning, I will use it to clear cashe again. Then the page will be able to be updated. Now I think it is solved.

    However, we still suggest you ensure that the following routes are whitelisted:

    /wp-json/rankmath/v1/updateMeta
    /wp-json/rankmath/v1/updateSchemas
    /wp-json/rankmath/v1/updateRedirection
    /wp-json/rankmath/v1//getFeaturedImageId

    You can also get in touch with your web host regarding this and they should be able to assist you in whitelisting the routes.

    I have contacted Siteground, and follow their below instructions:

    1. deactivate WP Rocket:
    2. make sure SG Optimizer is installed and active
    3. /wp-json/rankmath/ is added to the caching exclude list in SG Optimizer.

    Now I think everything is perfect.
