Hello,
Thank you for contacting Rank Math, and sorry for any inconvenience caused.
I checked the sitemap, it is working fine:
Please make sure that the sitemaps are excluded from caching from your caching plugin. You can follow this guide to exclude the sitemaps from caching and resubmit the sitemap in Google:
https://rankmath.com/kb/exclude-sitemaps-from-caching/I also checked the website using the
site
operator on Google, 6 URLs are indexed. Please note that it is completely upto Google if they want to index or not index your website. So, if you haven’t willingly or accidentally made your posts noindex and Google still isn’t indexing your page – it means that either Google doesn’t want to index or hasn’t crawled your page yet because it hasn’t allocated that much crawl budget to your website.
Please check this website for more details.
Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.
Hi Anas,
I have tried to catch but unable to find proper step. That’s why I have given temperedly login details.
Could you please check that link and fix the catch the issue.
I can totally understand if Google want to crawled my site or not.
Thanks,
NajibHello,
I checked and as mentioned by my colleague, the sitemaps are working properly.
I accessed the sitemaps as Googlebot and there were no issues found.
Upon investigating, I did notice that you haven’t included the sitemap URL in your robots.txt file. Here’s a screenshot: https://i.rankmath.com/EuiD9n
While crawling the website, bots look for the sitemap URL in the robots.txt file and perform the crawling accordingly.
I logged into your website’s admin area to correct this but it seems like you’re using a physical robots.txt file that is present in your website’s root directory.
In this case, please edit the robots.txt file and add this statement at the end of the file:
Sitemap: https://www.gadgetmachines.com/sitemap_index.xml
.Once done, please clear your website’s cache and remove all the sitemaps from your Google Search Console account, and then submit only the main sitemap (
https://www.gadgetmachines.com/sitemap_index.xml
).Further, give Google some time to crawl your website again and see if the issue gets fixed.
Hope this helps.
Thank you.
Hello.
I have already done all the setting as suggested by Prabhat Rai.
However, It is still showing an error. Kindly check again my temperedly login which I have given to you in earlier.
For your information, I have 5 URL’s on my website and still showing following error from 4 URL.
“Sitemap can be read, but has errors”1 URL is showing error “Sitemap could not be read”
Kindly check the temporally login details which I have given to you in earlier.
Appreciate your quickest response on the subject.
Hello,
I checked the sitemap, all the variations of the sitemap are returning 200 status, you can check using https://httpstatus.io/:
Please ensure that only 1 version of the sitemap is working (200 status), and the rest are redirecting to it.
Please follow the steps in this link:
https://rankmath.com/kb/couldnt-fetch-error-google-search-console/#5-check-for-the-correct-version-of-the-sitemap and redirect to the correct version.Once done, resubmit the
sitemap_index.xml
in the Search Console.I hope this helps.
Looking forward to helping you.
Hello,
I have changed everything as per tutorial. But still same error.
I would request you if you can do it from your side. Because I have already given temporarily login details. Please note that, I am not a technical person. Better if you can do it from your end. I highly request you to configure from your side.
Thanks,
Najib.Hello,
Redirecting all sitemap URL variations cannot be done in our plugin. You may need to contact your hosting provider and ask them to properly redirect the 3 other URL variations of your sitemaps to
https://www.gadgetmachines.com/post-sitemap.xml
using .htaccess (assuming you are using Apache type server).Upon checking your sitemap URLs again, I noticed that the status code is now 403 which means it is forbidden for access.
Please contact your host as they are in the best position to configure this.
Looking forward to helping you.
Dear Support Team,
As suggested by you, I had checked with my hosting provider team and below is replied from them. Please note that, I am not a technical guy so please help me to short it out this issue. I have already given you temporally login details. So please go through it and let me know. Hope I will get positive feedback from your side.
(Your website works completely fine and google does index it, the only issue is within this page, which has been created by a plugin. As this is not a server-side issue we cannot provide support regarding this.)
Hello,
We tested your sitemap and technically speaking they are completely fine and ready to be crawled by Google.
Please make sure that you have only submitted the main sitemap by following this guide: https://rankmath.com/kb/submit-sitemap-to-google/
We also recommend that you test the robots.txt file of this website with this tool to look for potential issues: https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/6062598?hl=en
If all looks correct there, then there’s nothing else we can do from our side as technically speaking everything is working as expected.
Don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any other questions.
