Please add your sitemap https://www.surfs-sup.co.uk/sitemap_index.xml in your robots.txt file after the existing rules.
The rules should be like this:
User-agent: *
Disallow: /wp-admin/
Allow: /wp-admin/admin-ajax.php
Sitemap: https://www.surfs-sup.co.uk/sitemap_index.xml
Please try excluding the Sitemap files of the Rank Math plugin in your caching plugin. The cache could be via a plugin or from the server. For plugins or Cloudflare, please follow this article:
https://rankmath.com/kb/exclude-sitemaps-from-caching/
Then clear the website cache and resubmit your main sitemap sitemap_index.xml to GSC.

trying to edit robots.txt file via rank math panel but saying it is locked
Hello,
It seems there is a static robots.txt file in your website’s root directory. Please delete or rename the existing robots.txt file to allow Rank math to generate this dynamically for your site.
If there are some permission issues on the Web Server then you need to contact the web host.
If you want to customize your robots.txt file then must ensure you have those rules in your robots.txt file mentioned above.

Adding to my colleague’s response, I searched your homepage on Google and it is already indexed.

Please clear your website’s cache and give Google some time to crawl the website again and see if the message, that the homepage is not indexed, is removed.
